DENVER (KDVR) — The National Weather Service in Boulder has issued a winter storm warning for metro Denver, the Front Range and the foothills. The Pinpoint Weather Team issued a Pinpoint Weather Alert Day for Wednesday.
The winter storm warning is in effect from 2 p.m. Wednesday until 5 a.m. on Thursday, the NWS said.
There will be scattered snow showers and slick roads during the Wednesday evening commute and slick roads into the Thursday morning drive too.
The Pinpoint Weather Team said the bulk of the snow will fall in Denver between 4-10 p.m.
Here are the snowfall totals expected by 5 a.m. Thursday:
- Denver: 2-4 inches
- Fort Collins: 2-4 inches
- Castle Rock: 3-6 inches
- Foothills: 4-10 inches
- Mountains: 4-10 inches
- Eastern Plains: 1-3 inches
