DENVER (KDVR) — Update 11:05 p.m. The person killed has been identified as 14-year-old Aerris Mayberry, according to the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner.

Mayberry died on the scene from a gunshot wound.

A boy was also shot. He was in critical but stable condition on Friday night, according to the Denver Police Department.

Earlier: A female is dead following a shooting early Friday morning.

The shooting took place around 2:25 a.m. near East 19th Avenue and Tamarac Street., just a block away from Montview Boulevard.

The female victim was declared dead on the scene while a juvenile male victim was taken to the hospital in an unknown condition.

The victims’ identities have not yet been released and it was not known if the female victim was a juvenile or an adult. This story will be updated as more information comes into the newsroom.
