DENVER (KDVR) — The Federal Bureau of Investigation in Denver is asking for the public’s help for information on eight different ongoing investigations in Colorado.

The FBI is offering rewards in these cases that range from $5,000 to up to $50,000.

Murder of John Jacoby in 2015

The FBI Denver field office is searching for the person or people responsible for murdering John Jacoby, 47, on May 18, 2015.

The Windsor Police Department said Jacoby was riding his bicycle with a small trailer attached on Weld County Road 15 when he was shot twice. Jacoby did not survive the shooting and the person responsible for his murder remains unknown.

The FBI said that investigators determined that the murder of Jacoby was related to another shooting that happened in Fort Collins on April 22, 2015.

A woman was driving near the intersection of Harmony Road and the southbound Interstate 25 on ramp when she was shot in the neck, the FBI said. The woman survived.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to the arrest, prosecution, and conviction of the person or people responsible for the murder of Jacoby and the shooting of the woman in Fort Collins.

Murder of Maggie Long

Maggie Long was found dead in her Bailey home more than five years ago and many are still desperately searching for answers.

It happened in December of 2017, 17-year-old Long was found dead in her home after it was set on fire. The fire was declared an arson and Long’s death was ruled a homicide.

The incident started around 7 p.m. when deputies with the Park County Sheriff’s Office were called to a house fire at 3763 County Road 43 in Bailey. According to a 911 call, people were reportedly inside the home causing damage.

The sheriff’s office said a man was on the property. After the fire was put out, Long’s remains were discovered by firefighters.

Days later, the El Paso County Coroner’s Office ruled her death a homicide.

Investigators said that the scene showed that a physical altercation took place between Long and assailants before the fire started.

The suspects stole a Beretta handgun, an AK-47-style rifle, 2,000 rounds of ammunition, a green safe, and jade figurines, the sheriff’s office said.

The FBI released sketches for three possible suspects in the investigation:

On May 18, 2021, the FBI announced it is investigation Long’s death as a hate crime.

Investigators said whoever killed Long has either told someone or will tell someone. The truth, they say, will surface.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact the FBI or the Park County Sheriff’s Office at 303-239-4243. The FBI is offering a reward up to $20,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the people responsible for Long’s murder.

Murder of Odell Vest

The FBI is asking for the public’s help to find the person or people responsible for murdering Odell Vest in 2000.

Vest was last seen on July 10-11, 2000, at a home on Lafayette Street in Towaoc at a party.

Specific details of Vest’s murder have not been released.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible for Vest’s murder.

Murder of Avery Whiteskunk

The FBI is asking for the public’s help to find the person or people responsible for murdering Avery Whiteskunk in 2004.

The investigation started on Jan. 31, 2004, when Whiteskunk was reported missing. The FBI said on March 19, 2004, Whiteskunk’s body was found on the northern edge of the Ute Mountain Indian Reservation near Colorado Road G in Montezuma.

Whiteskunk was from Towaoc, the FBI said.

A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered by the FBI for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible for Whiteskunk’s murder.

Triple murder in Littleton

The FBI said it’s supporting the Littleton Police Department’s investigation into the triple homicide that happened on Jan. 27, 2002 at the AMF Broadway Bowling Alley.

LPD said James Springer, 29, and Erin Golla, 26, were finishing their work shifts at the bowling alley at 5485 South Broadway in Littleton. Robert (Bobby) Zajac, 23, who was an employee of another bowling alley, was also there and waiting for a ride home from Springer.

All three victims were confronted by a person with a gun and shot to death, according to LPD.

Investigators determined Golla called a friend for a ride home at 11:40 p.m. At approximately 11:50 p.m. a white, young adult male with a bald head and medium build, was seen exiting the bowling alley wearing a dark colored, below the knee, trench coat.

The man was spotted entering a dark colored, late 2000s model pickup truck and leaving the area to the south, according to LPD.

The victims were found dead at 11:55 p.m. by the friend who was called to pick up Golla. That friend then called police.

Investigators said that the murders of Springer, Golla, and Zajac may be related to a prior attempted burglary of the bowling alley on Jan. 20, 2002.

Metro Denver Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $30,000 for information leading to the arrest or arrests of anyone involved in this case.

Assault, vehicle robbery of Navajo Nation member

The FBI Denver Field Office is searching for the person or people responsible for assaulting a member of the Navajo Nation and stealing his truck.

It happened on April 29, 2021, in Towaoc near the entrance gate of Weeminuche Construction Authority, which the FBI said is the gravel pit operated by the Ute Mountain Ute.

The victim received numerous injuries to his face and head, which required stiches and caused a concussion and brain bleed, the FBI said.

The victim’s truck was also stolen. Inside of the victim’s truck were his wallet and work tools.

The truck is described as:

  • 2015 Chevrolet Colorado 2WD crew cab short bed
  • Arizona license plate: CAF1572
  • VIN: 1GCGSAE30F1176700
  • Cracked windshield
  • Black marks near the driver’s side front fender
  • “Aztec Strong” sticker in the rear window

Murder of Royce Perry in Wyoming

Denver’s FBI Field Office is working to find who murdered Royce Perry on July 26, 2017.

The FBI said Perry’s body was found in a home on the Wind River Indian Reservation in Fort Washakie, Wyoming.

Investigators believe multiple people witnessed what led to Perry’s murder.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible for Perry’s murder.

Arson, vandalism at Life Choices

The FBI is seeking information for the vandalism and arson that took place at the Life Choices building in Longmont, located at 20 Mountain View Ave, on June 25, 2022.

The business had “bans off our bodies” and other vandalism written in black paint on the property.

The building also sustained fire and smoke damage by a suspected arsonist.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $17,500 for information leading to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the suspect or suspects involved in this crime.
