Funnel cloud spotted east of Greeley as severe weather sweeps through state

GREELEY, Colo. — A funnel cloud was spotted east of Greeley by storm watchers just after 4:15 p.m. Sunday.

A tornado warning was issued for Weld County until 4:45 p.m. by the National Weather Service.

The NWS also issued a flash flood warning until 5 p.m. for Larimer County and a severe thunderstorm warning for Teller County until 5 p.m.

There was also a flash flood watch effective until 6 a.m. Monday for Kit Carson and Yuma counties, and until 3 a.m. Monday for Logan, Morgan, and north and northeast Elbert counties below 6,000 feet.

Flash flood watches were also in effect until 6 a.m. Monday for north Lincoln, Phillips, Sedgwick and southeast Elbert counties below 6,000 feet, and south Lincoln and Washington counties.
