DENVER — Reports of snow accumulation between 1-3 inches created icy conditions for drivers in the Denver Metro area on Monday morning.

A slick combination of slush and loose snow to complicate the morning drive.

The cities of Aurora, Lakewood, Centennial and Broomfield reported they were on accident alert this morning.

Denver Public Works said snow plow drivers were plowing snow and dropping de-icing materials on Denver’s main streets.

Drivers could encounter some slick conditions on Monday morning, caution is advised.  They encourage people on roads to go slowly, allow for extra time and stopping distance on the roads and to use caution on bridges and overpasses.

City crews take care of public roads, but what about your own snow-covered driveway.

If you feel like its too cold to go outside and do it yourself, there is a way for you to plow your snowy driveway without getting off the couch.

Just use the free app called: Plowz & Mowz. They send a local plow provider to come and plow your driveway.  They will leave you a photo of their work and bill you through the app —  kind of like an Uber for snow plowing.    During the warmer months, they will also mow your lawn.
