LARIMER COUNTY, Colo. – The weather forecast is not favorable for firefighters battling a massive wildfire west of Fort Collins.

According to Pinpoint Weather meteorologist Nick Carter, temperatures will gradually warm throughout the remainder of the week and winds will remain challenging.

“The winds will shift in a southwesterly direction to 8-16 miles per hour, with possible gusts of 20 miles per hour,” says Carter.

There is also no chance of significant rainfall.

“The best chance of rain for eastern Colorado is a few isolated thundershowers south of I-70.”

Tuesday’s high temperatures will be in the mid-80s with highs in the upper 80s or low 90s on Wednesday.
