DENVER (KDVR) — Wednesday is a Pinpoint Weather Alert day due to snow and arctic cold that arrived overnight. The snow is expected to continue throughout the day before tapering off Wednesday evening.

12:37 p.m.: I-70 westbound closed due to a crash between Exit 310 – I-70 Business North and Exit 306 – Rest Area. Use US 36 as a detour.

11:40 a.m.: Douglas County is currently on Accident Alert. Unless your crash involves an injury, drugs, or alcohol, report it online.

8:20 a.m.: Colorado Emergency Management: #MarshallFire Donation and Resource Center is closed today due to #COwx. The site opens on Thursday at 9 a.m. for people impacted by the Boulder fire and wind storm and for bulk donations.

8:10 a.m.: Pinpoint Meteorologist Kylie Bearse: Temperatures aren’t going to change much today, we’ll even see a little more wind this afternoon so it’ll feel bitterly cold all day

7:45 a.m.: The bulk of the snow is over. Skies are clearing in the Foothills. An additional 0-2 inches by 12 p.m. across the I-25 Corridor. It will be much drier this afternoon and evening

7:10 a.m.: Denver Police Department: If you’re a motorist that has to head out on this snowy morning, here are your #snow day travel reminders: • Don’t leave your car running unattended • Clear lights, windows & mirrors • Allow for extra time to commute • Allow for extra stopping distance

7 a.m.: CDOT: I-70 eastbound: Road open between Exit 176 – Vail and Exit 180 – East Vail. 

6:40 a.m.: CDOT: I-70 eastbound: Road closed due to a crash between Exit 176 – Vail and Exit 180 – East Vail. 

6:10 a.m.: Denver residential plows are working 3 a.m. to 3 p.m. today, taking a single pass down the center of each side street, helping create a path to the main streets and preventing deep ice ruts. A shout out to all our drivers this morning!

5:45 a.m.: 2.1 inches have fallen so far at Denver International Airport

5:15 a.m.: Jim Hooley said about 12 inches of snow has already fallen in Boulder.

5 a.m.: RTD said customers should expect delays and slower travel times as train and bus operators navigate through snow that is expected to fall overnight in the metro area.  

4:30 a.m.: About 7 inches of snow has fallen so far in Downtown Denver on the Weather Deck at FOX31 and Channel 2 as of 4:30 a.m.
