Biden gives remarks on combating California wildfires
President Biden gave remarks Friday about the federal response to the wildfires that continue to devastate the Los Angeles region.
The fires have killed at least 10 people and burned down more than 10,000 homes.
Biden, who approved California Gov. Gavin Newsom's (D) declaration of emergency earlier this week, pledged Thursday to support the state's efforts to combat the flames for 180 days. After Newsom came under scrutiny following perceived water shortages, the president said intentional power outages put in place to prevent more fires were partially to blame for the lack of resources.
Vice President Harris and other key administration officials were in attendance and on a video conference.
