US 6 reopened through Clear Creek Canyon after emergency rescue

CLEAR CREEK COUNTY, Colo. (KDVR) — The Colorado State Patrol and Colorado Department of Transportation closed US 6 both directions through Clear Creek Canyon due to a technical rescue of an injured climber.

The highway was closed for over four hours between CO 119 and CO 58; CO 93 in Golden, according to CDOT.

Golden Fire Rescue, West Metro Fire and other crews were assisting on a high-angle rescue of a non-critical injured climber.
