Brazil thought its nightmare was over — but perhaps it’s only just beginning.

Just 24 hours after the host nation was dumped out of its own World Cup, arch rival Argentina booked its place in Sunday’s final following a penalty shootout victory over the Netherlands.

Argentina, which has not reached the final since 1990 and last won the tournament in 1986, triumphed 4-2 after the tie had ended goalless after 120 minutes.

Argentina will face Germany in Sunday’s final in Rio de Janeiro.
