Denver police and both schools sent a letter to students earlier in the week hoping to decrease alcohol-related incidents.
“Our goal is that students get that message early and the schools communicate with the kids early so that they know the rules and our goal is to have no violations,” Denver police Cmdr. Paul Pazen said.
Police said the number of alcohol violations increased compared to last year’s game, but they had no major incidents.
