DENVER — As you plan your Super Bowl parties, we’re helping you set your tables! In tonight’s Game Day Dish, we went to Biker Jim’s, a place known for its innovative hot dogs.

“We can get away with serving oddball proteins like rattlesnake and pheasant and wild boar,” said owner Jim Pittenger.

If those sound a little too out there for your super bowl party, try one of Jim’s signature sides: the simple, delicious baked beans. They’re sweet and satisfying, and also vegan to satisfy a range of appetites.

Biker Jim’s Baked Beans
2 quarts pre-cooked pinto beans (Four 30 oz. cans)
1 medium yellow onion, diced
1 Granny Smith apple, diced
¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
1.5 cups BBQ sauce (your favorite)
1.5 cups ketchup
1 cup brown sugar, lightly packed
2 tsp Sriracha

Drain beans from their liquid and rinse under cold running water, drain well and place into baking dish.

Stir in remaining ingredients, cover and place in oven at 350° for 1 hour, until onion is translucent and apple is very tender.
