DENVER — It doesn’t get much better than this if you’re a Broncos fan: The team is going to the Super Bowl.

But that’s not always the way it is. Some Broncos season-ticket holder say it has become a super-sized disappointment because they were not selected to have a chance to buy tickets to the Super Bowl.

The Broncos said they use a lottery system to determine who gets a chance to buy the limited number of tickets available. They use a lottery system that’s weighted to the longest-tenured season-ticket holders. Those holders have the best chance to purchase tickets.

Fans who win the lottery still have to buy them at face value, roughly $900 per ticket. Fans looking to get tickets on the secondary market are looking at spending about $4,000 right now.
