DENVER — The NFL Players Association is looking into whether there was collusion between the Denver Broncos and Dallas Cowboys regarding the contract situations of both teams’ franchise wide receivers. That’s according to a report on ESPN.com.

The Broncos’ Demaryius Thomas and Cowboys’ Dez Bryant remain unsigned.

The NFLPA said it believes the Broncos and Cowboys talked to each other about the two players’ contracts.

The collective bargaining agreement prohibits such contact.

The NFLPA is trying to find out if collusion did occur and when to file a potential claim, according to the ESPN report.

Neither team has commented.

ESPN reported one source connected to the Cowboys didn’t believe any contact between Dallas and Denver occurred.

The deadline for both Thomas and Bryant to sign long-term deals is Wednesday.
