DENVER — Baltimore Ravens Offensive Coordinator Gary Kubiak will take the head coaching job with the Denver Broncos, multiple sources said Sunday.

ESPN reporter Adam Schefter and his famously anonymous “sources” initially reported the agreement Sunday evening. Kubiak spent much of the day meeting with reps from the team.

Kubiak recently said that he was not interested in the Broncos job, but that was before John Fox left the team.

Kubiak may bring some of the Ravens staff to Denver with him, including Ravens quarterbacks coach Rick Dennison and tight ends coach Brian Pariani,  the official Baltimore Ravens website reported.

Kubiak backed up John Elway at quarterback with the Broncos from 1983 (Elway’s rookie year) until 1991. Kubiak also served as offensive coordinator on Mike Shanahan’s staff from 1995 to 2005. He coached the Houston Texans from 2006-2013, leading the team to a 61-64 regular season record.
