ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Peyton Manning’s retirement announcement comes Monday, leaving behind a legacy that he created in only four seasons with the Broncos.

Excitement swirled when the Broncos signed him as a free agent in March 2012. Fans’ hopes of a Super Bowl mounted.

After a less than ideal Super Bowl against Seattle, the Sheriff finally got his long-sought second title on Feb. 7 in a 24-10 win over the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50.

The championship returned to Denver on his shoulders and now it is time for him to end his 18-year career.

It’s a career that was filled with honors as one of the best quarterbacks that will undoubtedly place him in the Hall of Fame in five years.
