DENVER — Broncos owner Pat Bowlen spent some time in the hospital recently, according to a team spokesman.
The spokesman said Bowlen is back home and doing better after dealing with a personal medical issue before the team began its playoff run.
The Denver Post reported Friday that Bowlen was treated for a blood clot in December.
Bowlen relinquished control of the day-to-day operations of the team in 2014 because of his health.
The Broncos play the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50 on Sunday.
