DENVER — Three former Denver Broncos players moved one step closer to the pro football Hall of Fame.
Safeties Steve Atwater and John Lynch along with running back Terrell Davis are among the 15 modern era finalists for the Hall of Fame’s class of 2016.
Davis is the Broncos’ all-time leading rusher with over 7,600 yards and 60 touchdowns. He’s a 2-time Super Bowl winner and 3-time Pro Bowl player.
Atwater went to seven Pro Bowls, played in three Super Bowls and has more than 1,350 tackles and 24 interceptions.
Lynch played the final four of his 15 seasons in Denver and has over 1,200 tackles along with 13 sacks and 26 picks during his career.
