SLIDESHOW: Colfax shut down as students march in Ferguson protest

DENVER — Hundreds of students at East High School in Denver walked out of class Wednesday morning in a protest over the Ferguson Mo. grand jury decision.

The students changed, unraveled a large banner with “Ferguson” written on it and held their hands up in the air.

The students left the school, which is located near Colfax Avenue and York Street and marched west on Colfax toward downtown.

When the reached Civic Center Park, they headed into downtown and down the 16th Street Mall.

Many of the students dispersed after this, but they regathered at Colfax and Broadway.

They then marched east on Colfax back toward East High. During the walk back, four Denver Police officers were injured when they were hit by a car.
