PHOTOS: Widespread Panic Plays A Widespread Jam At 1STBANK Center

Broomfield, CO — Three nights with two sets a night John Bell, “JB” to his friends, and Widespread Panic brought a solid jam to Broomfield. At the 1STBANK Center they spoke few words and wailed all great tunes including Dylan’s “Hard Rain” and the Doors “LA Woman.” Beginning with “Coconuts” and concluding with Black Sabbath’s “Iron Man.” Each set lasted about an hour with a thirty minute intermission and a strong encore of covers.

Widespread Panic’s music is iconic and kept the crowd cheering loudly with delight. They paid homage to some greats and played their souls into some great covers. They owned the whole night Saturday with their performance. It’s easy to understand since 1986 Widespread Panic keeps die hards fans coming back night after night after night. They’re skillful musicians with thoughtful light and video backing. Similar to the Grateful Dead before them, they give music, peace and love to the world. Even on Halloween weekend when the auditorium floor was crawling with ghouls and goblins, love was in the air. It was carried by the peaceful sound of Widespread Panic. Check out the sights from Saturday’s show.
