DENVER — Riot Fest has a circus side show perfectly named, “Hellzapoppin”. That’s easily a word to describe exactly how you feel at the conclusion of three days at the Rodeo. It can mean commitment to music, plenty of walking, four stages, two that run back to back all day long and more bands, acts and groups than you can physically see due to a ferociously stacked schedule. It’s an Ironman for lovers of punk, rock and hip hop. People who adore all music will find it heaven.

In one day you’ll easily walk five miles, you’ll drink gallons of water and consume at least one carnival style food item. NOFX, Descendents, Janes Addiction, Against Me, Converge, 2 Chainz, Tyler the Creator, Gogol Bordello, The Original Misfits, Nas, all things you can see and seventy something more. Wear your sunscreen, for this look back, it’s a choose your own adventure. Here’s what it looked like starting on Friday and continuing until Sunday of Labor Day weekend.
