Broomfield, Colo — Saturday was a night of storytelling and a walk down memory lane for Isaac Slade, Joe King and The Fray. Isaac made it known, “it’s good to be home”, “last night we played the Fox Theater in Boulder where we signed our record deal” and “we couldn’t have done it without each one of you.” Isaac also noted, “the greatest hits record is a look back at a time when they just wanted to move out of their parents basement.”
As they played “Heaven Forbid” their first recording, which Joe King remarked, cost $250.00 and “we had to save to afford the day of recording in Boulder.” They played all of their greatest hits from How to Save a Life to a new song, “Corners.” They closed the show with “Over My Head (Cable car)” which featured a giant sing along, confetti cannons and Issac jumping down to sing the finale in the crowd. It was a nice retrospective from a Colorado band who’s achieved incredible global success, have a look back at the pictures including openers American Authors.
