Tomer’s Trails: Sean Swarner’s Grand Slam

COLORADO – Two-time cancer survivor, adventurer, and Colorado resident Sean Swarner leaves next month to finish the Grand Slam.  Sean is headed to the North Pole.

“I’m using it as a vehicle to bring others touched by cancer along with me and give them hope.  We’re calling it the Mission of Hope,” said Swarner.

What is the Grand Slam?  Sean has climbed the 7 Summits and the South Pole.  Adding the North Pole is called the Grand Slam.  Swarner said, “I believe 50 people have done the grand slam, but no cancer survivor.  And, no two-time cancer survivor and no one with one lung has done it.”

Sean is carrying a special flag to the North Pole as well.  “I’m trying to put as many names of people on a flag who’ve been touched by cancer as possible, and it’s called the Flag of Hope,” said Swarner.

Sean wants as many people to virtually sign the flag as possible.  To do so please visit his website.
