DENVER — A beauty school with several locations in the Denver metro area is stepping in to pick up the slack left behind by Regency Beauty Institute.

Regency closed its doors in late September, leaving many students and teachers trying to figure out what to do next.

Empire Beauty Schools has established a grant program for displaced Regency students who would like to transfer to Empire Beauty School or Hair Design School.

Recent Regency Beauty Institute students can get a waiver of upfront enrollment fees (transfer and registration fees), a potential student grant award of up to $1,000 and a potential free Samsung tablet and student kit.

All grant decisions will be made on a case-by-case basis, with academic and financial aid evaluations playing a part.

“Empire Beauty Schools has a long successful history of assisting people in effectively changing their lives.” said Frank Schoeneman, chairman and CEO of Empire Education Group.

“As our industry is coming together to support the recently displaced Regency Beauty Institute students, our hearts are touched with compassion for these creative, passionate future professionals who just want to achieve their dreams. We have heard so many unique stories of the difficulties and distress that this disruption has caused in their lives.”

For more information, contact a local Empire Beauty School or Hair Design Campus online or call 1-800-964-7579.

Empire Beauty has locations in Aurora, Littleton, and Thornton.
