Is it really possible to lose weight eating your favorite junk foods? Nutrition professor, Mark Haub, at Kansas State University went on a 10-week junk food diet and lost 27 pounds! During that time, he ate every 3 hours, 2/3rds junk food and 1/3 healthy food. Not only did he lose weight, his body mass index improved, his bad cholesterol dropped 20%, and his good cholesterol rose 20%. Despite his success, he says he doesn’t recommend the diet because it doesn’t take into consideration any long term health risks like cancer.
