DENVER — No matter how the Colorado Rockies are faring come July, fans have at least one thing to look forward to at Coors Field: Zac Brown Band is set to perform on July 3 in the first big-name show at the recently expanded park.

“This is a great opportunity to showcase our beautiful facility as a concert venue,” said Rockies Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Greg Feasel. “This is a very exciting first for Coors Field and the Rockies organization.”

Last season, the Rockies debuted a new rooftop deck, VIP areas and multiple restaurants and bars. That’s in line with a long-term plan to open new revenue streams aside from standard ticket sales to baseball games.

Zac Brown Band, known for its intricately arranged pop-country sound and smash hits such as “Keep Me in Mind” and “Chicken Fried,” will be touring in support of the new album “Jekyll + Hyde,” due in April.

Tickets go on sale on Friday at 10 a.m. They’re available at Ticketmaster.com, with face values ranging from $29.50 to $105.
