GREELEY, Colo. — It was another day of dramatic testimony Monday in the murder trial of former Weld County sheriff’s jail deputy Tom Fllis.

Fallis is charged with killing his wife, Ashley, on New Year’s Day 2012. Her death was originally ruled a suicide but the case was reopened two years ago after the FOX31 Denver Problem Solvers turned up new evidence in the investigation.

On Monday, a former neighbor that lived next door to Fallas took the stand. Nick Glover said he was watching all the commotion going on at the Fallis house when police arrived after Ashley was shot.

Glover said he heard Fallis talking with two people who turned out to be Fallis’ parents.

“I heard him saying what, ‘Wave I done What have I done?'” Glover testified. “I could hear one of them say, ‘What?  What do you mean?’ He proceeded to say, ‘I shot my wife.'”

Fallis’ parents have testified that didn’t happen. Glover said he told police the next day, but his comments were not noted in any police report.

Officers from the Evans Police Department testified they did not give Tom Fallis any special treatment.

Another critical day is expected Tuesday as the prosecution continues its case. The trial, which began March 16, is expected to last three weeks.
