DENVER — You better watch out, you better not cry. You better not pout, I’m telling you why: Krampus is coming to town!….

Who? Well, Krampus of course! ‘Krampus’ is an old German fable about a devilish creature who punishes children for being naughty. Some call him an evil version of Santa!

Denver’s premier haunted house, The 13th Floor Haunted House, created a Krampus-themed event for horror buffs who just can’t rub off the ‘Halloween itch’!

“It kind of fits in with the haunted house,” said Tye Olmstead, General Manager of Denver’s 13th Floor Haunted House. “We can have a dark Christmas event that’s still part of Christmas culture”.

Olmstead and his team started working on “Krampus: A Haunted Christmas” in early October. They put things in full-swing directly after Halloween.

“We think of things for Halloween so much it’s nice to look at it from a holiday perspective,” Olmstead said.

About 12 employees created the haunted house. It will only be open for ONE weekend. Next weekend (12/16 & 12/17) from 7pm-11pm. You can purchase tickets online now, by clicking here.

The 13th Floor has done other holiday themed haunted houses before, such as a Valentine’s Day theme. This is its first time doing a ‘Krampus’ themed haunted house.
