Jennifer Broome takes us to Mills Lake in the Rocky Mountain National Park.
Mills Lake is considered by many to be the prettiest lake in Rocky Mountain National Park. It is named after Enos Mills, who is considered the “Father of Rocky Mountain National Park.” From the Glacier Gorge Trailhead it is 2.7 miles to Mills Lake. Round trip is 5.4 miles. You can snowshoe to the lake, but with the packed trail you would be okay with just traction devices on your hiking boots. Rocky Mountain National Park is celebrating it’s 100th birthday this year.
