DENVER, Colo. — As gruesome as the encounter might be, you have a chance to meet some of the world’s most well-known authors who lived more than a century ago.

The Molly Brown House Museum is hosting a select few ‘dead authors’ to partake in its ‘Victorian Horrors’ event in celebration of the Halloween season.

‘Victorian Horrors’ kicked off Friday evening and will continue each weekend through October. This is the 23rd year the Molly Brown House Museum hosted the dead Victorian authors.

This year’s characters include Gaston Leroux’s ‘The Phantom of the Opera’, H.G. Wells’ ‘The Invisible Man’ and Charlotte Perkins Gilman’s ‘The Yellow Wallpaper’ to name a few.

Local actors David Payne, Jim Hunt, Drew Horwitz, Julie Payne, Kevin Lowry and Trina Magness will play the roles.

Not only do they put on one heck of a show, but you’ll also learn something educational about the Victorian era at the museum.
