Aurora, Colo. — For fifty years, an Aurora man has been broadcasting pieces of German culture throughout Denver from the basement of his home.

Gunter Auerbach moved to America in 1965. He started his first radio show on ‘KTGM’.

“Keep To Good Music,” Auerbach joked about the station’s call letters.

Auerbach plays authentic German music with a twist and adds a bit of humor to it.

“I play the music I like and I know the people will like it,” he said.

Eventually, Auerbach created a television show. But a few years ago, he decided to call it quits and scrap it.

These days, Auerbach broadcasts three days a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) over the internet.
