WASHINGTON — One of the most prestigious museums in the world has a job opportunity that will make people in dive bars and brew pubs foam at the mouth.

The Smithsonian Institution is looking to hire an expert on beer in America. Specifically, craft beer.

The job pays $64,650 per year. And the right candidate “must be able to travel” to “conduct field research.”

The Smithsonian is looking for someone with “proven experience in scholarly research, organizing and conducting oral history interviews, writing for both scholarly and general audiences, and knowledge of material culture and archival materials.”
