WASHINGTON — One of the most prestigious museums in the world has a job opportunity that will make people in dive bars and brew pubs foam at the mouth.
The Smithsonian Institution is looking to hire an expert on beer in America. Specifically, craft beer.
I could put the link to apply right here, but wait, there’s more.
The job pays $64,650 per year. And the right candidate “must be able to travel” to “conduct field research.”
Want to give it a shot?
The Smithsonian is looking for someone with “proven experience in scholarly research, organizing and conducting oral history interviews, writing for both scholarly and general audiences, and knowledge of material culture and archival materials.”
It would also help if you have “an advanced degree in American business, brewing, food, cultural, or a similar specialization within history,” the Smithsonian said.
The job description and how to apply for the job are on the Smithsonian’s website.
