Forget throwing the pigskin. Peyton Manning is busy catching fish.
The former Broncos quarterback caught a whopper on a recent fishing trip with country music star Dierks Bentley, proving a reel expert can tackle anything.
Bentley tweeted a photo of Manning holding a large king salmon, along with the obligatory joke about the one that got away.
Bentley didn’t say where the two were fishing, but king salmon are native to Alaska and British Columbia.
We can’t help wondering if Manning thinks a bad day of fishing is still better than a good day at training camp.
Bentley will be in Denver next month. He’ll perform in Civic Center Park, along with OneRepublic, before the NFL’s season-opening game on Sept. 8 . The pregame show begins at 5:30 p.m. and the Broncos will play the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50 rematch at 6:30 p.m.
