TOKYO — McDonald’s Japan announced on Tuesday its latest innovation — french fries covered in chocolate.

“Everyone’s favorite french fries received the ultimate chocolate makeover with the introduction of the McChoco Potato,” McDonald’s announced.

Customers in Japan can order fries drizzled with two types of chocolate sauces — chocolate with cacao flavor and white milk chocolate.

McDonald’s Japan has also sold a Shaka Shaka Potato, which is fries topped with cheese sauce or bacon.

The McChoco Potato is available at participating McDonald’s restaurants across Japan starting January 26.

McDonald’s has not said whether the chocolate fries will be sold in U.S. stores.
