MINNEAPOLIS — Dairy Queen has a Blizzard treat just for singles.

The “Singles Blizzard” features soft-serve ice cream, cocoa fudge, peanut butter cups, peanut butter topping, and salted caramel truffles.

According to the company, 50 percent of singles classify themselves as “Proud Singles” on Valentine’s Day and are ready to break the “Sad Single” cliché, yet only 24 percent of all singles treat themselves to a gift on the holiday.

The company wrote on Facebook:

“Be single and proud this VDAY. Celebrate your status with the new Singles BLIZZARD treat. Featuring indulgent ingredients just for you, like cocoa fudge, peanut butter cups, peanut butter and salted caramel truffles. #BreakTheCliche

“Being single doesn’t taste sour this Valentine’s Day. Instead, singledom tastes like salted caramel truffles,” says Barry Westrum, executive vice president of Marketing for American Dairy Queen Corporation (ADQ). “Single Americans now outnumber those who are married, so we felt the time was right to honor our single fans.”

The limited-edition Blizzard is available now through Valentine’s Day.
