THORNTON, Colo. — A Thornton construction worker is asking for help finding the person who stole tools and a trailer from a work site early Monday morning.
The trailer and tools were stored in a parking lot off of East 120th Avenue and Colorado Boulevard as the owner worked on a soon-to-be opened Qdoba restaurant.
“I just want my tools back. It’s expensive to replace tools, that’s my living,” said Mark Dreher, the owner of the missing trailer.
The thief or thieves made off with the storage unit sometime between Sunday evening and sunrise Monday morning. It’s estimated with the tools and equipment, plus the cost of the trailer, Dreher is out $12,000 to $15,000.
“You have no idea what feeling you get when somebody takes your life away, that’s your living you’re missing,” added the frustrated business owner.
The trailer was locked and many of the tools inside were specially engraved with the initials “M-A-D.” The trailer has Colorado license plate: 859-TNI
Anyone who has any information about the whereabouts of the tools or the trailer can contact Dreher at 303-994-3024 or Thornton police at 720-977-5150.
