DENVER — Denver resident Mike Keshian, 31, loves the outdoors.

He’s worked there: “I’ve been a commercial fisherman in Alaska for over six years and a ski bum in Crested Butte and Steamboat for 13 years.”

He’s definitely played there: “Skiing, do a little snowboarding.  When I was living in Crested Butte mountain biking was huge.”

He found love at altitude, but not much in the city: “Moving to Denver it was clearly obvious that it was not an easy market.”

That’s why Keshian created LuvByrd.com.

“It’s for singles who are into the outdoors and for a way for them to connect,” Keshian said.

LuvByrd is free on a PC. You jump on and create a profile like Kelly Simmons did.

“I’d way rather like go hiking on a Sunday vs. sitting down and watching football at a bar,” she said.

The 28-year-old ski and snowboard rep was hoping to find a Rocky Mountain romance — and she did, with Keshian.

“I met the girl of my dreams, I’ve been dating Kelly,” Keshian said.

Talk about unintended circumstances.

“He likes to do the same things I do,” Simmons said. “He doesn’t like football, either.”

So the lesson here?  Keshian’s not only the president of LuvByrd.com, he’s also a client.
