JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. (KDVR) — UPDATE (9:36 p.m.): Colorado State Patrol said the left lane on northbound US 285 is open after hours of closure due to a deadly tanker rollover crash on Thursday. The right lane remains closed for hazmat cleanup.

West Metro Fire Department is investigating a deadly semi-tanker that rolled over on northbound US 285 just before Morrison on Thursday. Officials reported the driver was ejected from the cab of the truck.

Travelers in the area were detoured to Parmalee Gulch Road or Jefferson County Highway 73. Commercial vehicles were asked to wait it out.

CSP is assisting the Morrison Police Department with the cleanup.
