DENVER — The men accused of stealing DeMarcus Ware’s Super Bowl 50 ring made their first court appearance Thursday morning.
Sergio Irreza, 31, and Billy McCaslin, 40, were advised of the burglary charges against them.
The two are accused of breaking into Ware’s Cherry Creek condominium on Monday night during the Broncos’ win over the Houston Texans and stealing valuables, including the Super Bowl ring.
Ware was at Sports Authority Field at Mile High for the game but did not play because he is injured.
Surveillance cameras caught the men and photos sent out by Metro Denver Crime Stoppers helped track them down on Wednesday.
A court affidavit said the two were tracked down at a Thornton pawn shop and Irezza’s employer.
