DENVER — The first Spirit Airlines flight in eight years arrived at Denver International Airport from Las Vegas Thursday morning.

The ultra low cost carrier is known for offering one way fares for less than $20 each way.

But, you’ll end up paying a lot more in fees.

The airline charges for everything including printing a boarding pass at the airport and space in the overhead bin.

On November 6, customers who wait to pay the normal carry-on bag fee at the boarding gate will have to fork over a whopping $100.

“We are pleased to welcome Spirit Airlines to Denver,” Denver Mayor Michael B. Hancock said.  “This is great news for the City and region because new air service generates economic activity.  In addition to Denver passengers benefiting from this new service, passengers across Spirit’s robust network will be able to discover all that Denver and Colorado has to offer.”
