DENVER — A Southwest flight bound for Denver that took off from San Diego was diverted due to an equipment malfunction on Thanksgiving morning.
Southwest confirmed just after 9 a.m. that Flight 49 had been diverted to Albuqerque “in response to an issue with an indicator flap wing.”
“The flight landed safely and incured an hour delay as we brought in a different aircraft to complete the trip to Denver,” a Southwest spokesperson said.
There were 124 passengers onboard and no issues were reported on board the plane.
