COMMERCE CITY, Colo. —  Crews worked to put out a warehouse fire in Commerce City on Saturday afternoon.

The fire happened near the corner of East 50th Avenue and Colorado Blvd.  Reports said the fire started just before noon.

The plume of smoke can be see for miles in the city.

Fire officials told FOX31 Denver that one person was injured in the fire.

They were taken to the hospital but their condition was not released.

Multiple fire agencies were on scene.

The property owner told FOX31 Denver they were rebuilding the roof and had a roofing team on site when the fire broke out.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
