LAKEWOOD, Colo. — Lakewood police working in conjunction with the FBI arrested a second suspect on Tuesday in connection to a violent bank robbery, carjacking and shootings that took place in Lakewood and Sheridan last week.
Police said Tyrone Javonne Richardson, 31, was taken into custody in the 1000 block of Sable Boulevard about 2 p.m. Tuesday. Police said in a news release that Richardson was taken into custody in part thanks to a tip.
The arrest came on the same day police identified Myloh Jaqory Mason as a suspect. Mason remained at large as of Tuesday afternoon, with police calling him “armed and extremely dangerous.”
Police said Miguel Sanders, who was arrested on the day of the incident, Richardson and Mason are responsible for a takeover-style bank robbery wearing “Scream” masks at the FirstBank at South Kipling Street and West Jewell Avenue on Nov. 18.
The suspects fled the bank and confronted a man in front of his home where they stole his vehicle at gunpoint, shooting the man several times.
The suspects then drove to Sheridan where they tried to steal a vehicle from two women. The women were physically assaulted and one was shot.
The suspects took off on foot and more than 100 law enforcement officers from numerous metro-area agencies responded.
Sanders, 28, was found under a bus and taken into custody. Mason and Richardson got away after an hourslong search.
Bond was set at $1 million on Thursday for Sanders. He is being held on a $1 million bond for investigation of attempted murder, kidnapping, bank robbery, armed carjacking, aggravated assault with a weapon, aggravated vehicle theft and assault, according to court records.
Anyone with information about Mason is asked to call the Lakewood Police Department at 303-987-7111 or Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.
The suspects are facing potential charges of attempted first-degree murder, attempted kidnapping, aggravated robbery, first-degree assault, second-degree assault and aggravated motor vehicle theft.
The FBI on Tuesday released seven video clips of the bank robbery where two people were shot.
