KEYSTONE, Colo. — A 22-year-old man who died Tuesday after an apparently self-inflicted gunshot wound had consumed a “large amount” of marijuana candies immediately before his death, investigators said.
Luke Gregory Goodman of Tulsa, Okla., was staying in Keystone at the time of the injury and was later transferred to St. Anthony’s Lakewood Hospital, the Summit County Coroner’s Office said in a statement. Goodman did not survive his injuries.
So far it appears Goodman shot himself in the head, officials said. Witnesses said he had used large quantities of pot edibles beforehand.
An investigation is ongoing. Toxicology results will take approximately three weeks to be finalized, the coroner’s office said.
