DENVER — The events surrounding Super Bowl 50 are spread out all over the San Francisco Bay Area.
Whether you’re familiar with the area or a completely new tourist, if you’re traveling for Super Bowl 50 there are things you should know.
Super Bowl 50 will take place at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., on Feb. 7. That’s about an hour south of San Francisco.
The NFL Experience is a theme park-style event and requires a ticket. It will be held in the Moscone Center in San Francisco from Jan. 30 to Feb. 7.
Super Bowl City is a free event from the NFL. The fan village will be at Justin Herman Plaza, on Market Street in San Francisco from Jan. 30 to Feb. 7.
The opening night festivities will be held at the SAP Center in San Jose on Feb. 1. It’s about an hour south of San Francisco and will be the first time coaches and players talk to the media.
