LAKEWOOD, Colo. — After spending nearly an hour and a half shopping for Christmas gifts, Sharyn Madison was shocked to find that her debit card was turned away when checking out.
Madison called her bank to learn that her account was at a negative balance, after having a charge for over $4000 from Century Link for her internet bill.
It seems they added in a few more zeros, and now Madison is having issues getting the money back.
CenturyLink now says it is overnighting a check to Sharyn Madison for roughly $4000 that was overpaid.
Madison says she isn’t sure if the error was with her credit union or CenturyLink.
The internet provider says the error wasn’t on their end, but it took nearly a month to resolve the issue.
Additionally … Gaylord Rockies heard about Madison’s troubles through the Problem Solvers.
That massive resort … near the airport … is offering Ms. Madison and her grandchildren free ice skating and tubing passes to celebrate the new year.
