GOLDEN, Colo. — Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump spoke in front of a large crowd at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds on Saturday.
Trump talked about a variety of topics in his 52-minute speech. He discussed Hillary Clinton’s email scandal, refugees and security, among other things.
Trump started his speech by getting the crowd excited and asking them how many have already voted, to which he estimated “70 percent” had turned in their ballot.
“In 10 days, we are going to win the state of Colorado and we are going to take back the White House,” Trump said as the crowd cheered.
Trump even questioned the integrity of Colorado’s election system.
“I have real problem with ballots being sent,” Trump said. “Like people say, ‘Oh here’s a ballot, here’s another ballot, throw it away. Oh, here’s one I like. We’ll keep that one.’
“We have a lot of people watching you people that collect the ballots.”
Trump then went on to discuss Clinton’s email scandal while crowd chanted, “Lock her up!”
“Folks, we’re living in a Third World country,” Trump said as he talked about Clinton’s emails and the judicial system in America. “When we win on Nov. 8, we are going to Washington, D.C., and we will drain the swamp.”
When discussing Syrian refugees and ISIS, Trump said Clinton’s “refugee program would leave us with years of terrorism.”
Trump went on to predict a big victory in Colorado and encouraged the crowd to get their ballots in.
“We are going to make America great again. Get those ballots in. Get those ballots in,” he said.
Trump’s rally in Golden was the first stop in back-to-back visits in Colorado. He will make stops in Phoenix and Las Vegas before returning Sunday at 4 p.m. for a rally in Greeley.
