DENVER — A battle is looming over Colorado’s minimum wage, which right now is $8.23 per hour.

600,000 Coloradans earns less than $12 an hour.

Some Democrats in the legislature say that’s not enough, so they have two ideas.

  1. Let local governments raise the minimum wage on their own, or
  2. Put it to a statewide vote
