WASHINGTON — Two people from Colorado have been named as White House guests at President Barack Obama’s State of the Union speech tomorrow.
William Elder Jr., 27, of Englewood and Carolyn Reed will both join Michelle Obama in the first lady’s box.
Elder was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis when he was 8 and has benefited from medical innovations that will enable him to live a full and productive life.
Reed, and her husband, wrote the President about how a small business loan from the Small Business Association helped them expand their sub shop.
Last year she had dinner with the President in Denver.
