Police: Suspect accused of exposing himself to woman on light rail train is unregistered sex offender

LAKEWOOD, Colo. — A 22-year-old man arrested after a woman said he exposed himself to her on a light rail train is also an unregistered sex offender who may have committed similar acts recently, police said.

Michael Peduzzi, 22, was arrested on Monday at the light rail station near the Federal Center in Lakewood, said police.

A woman told police that Peduzzi exposed himself to her while riding the train, police said.

After Lakewood Police interviewed Peduzzi, they found out he was an unregistered sex offender.

Peduzzi is currently on probation and, “detectives feel there is a high probability that he may have been involved in similar incidents in the metro area particularly on the light rail system,” police said.

Anyone who may have information about Peduzzi, or any similar set of circumstances, is being asked to call the Lakewood Police Department at 303-987-7111.

Police did not release a photo of Peduzzi, but said he is white, 5-feet-8 and 130 pounds with long brown hair which he usually wears in a ponytail.  He has blue eyes and a beard, police said.
